Sending International Faxes: Countries and Formats
Updated October 6, 2026
SendFax.me delivers to 29 countries (all listed below). The only thing you need to get right is the number format.
Number format
Always enter the number in international format: + country code, then the number without the leading zero. Examples:
- US / Canada: +1 212 555 0100
- United Kingdom: +44 20 7946 0000 (the UK number 020 7946 0000 without its leading 0)
- Germany: +49 30 901820
- Israel: +972 3 555 0100
- Japan: +81 3 5555 0100
The pricing preview recognizes the country instantly from the prefix, so you'll always see the exact per-page price before sending.
Per-page rates
- United States, Canada: $0.10
- United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Portugal, Austria, Belgium: $0.15
- Israel, Australia, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Greece, Poland: $0.18
- Japan, South Korea: $0.20
- India, Mexico, China: $0.25
- Brazil, South Africa, UAE: $0.30
Numbers in other countries can't be faxed yet. If you try one, the fax is stopped before anything is charged and you're told why.
The full, current table is on the pricing section and in your dashboard under Rates.
Delivery notes
International fax lines can be busier and slower than domestic ones. SendFax.me automatically retries a failed attempt once, and if the fax ultimately cannot be delivered you're refunded to your balance automatically.
Frequently asked questions
›Why did my international fax take longer?
Cross-border fax routes sometimes negotiate slower transmission speeds, and busy receiving lines cause retries. Status updates appear in your dashboard in real time.
›Do I pay more for a failed international fax?
No — failed faxes are automatically refunded to your credit balance, whatever the destination.
›How do I know the price before sending?
As soon as you enter the number, the preview shows the country and the exact per-page rate, and the total for your document's page count.
