Fill & Sign: Signing Documents Before Faxing

Most faxed paperwork needs a signature. Fill & Sign lets you add yours in the browser, so you never have to print, sign by hand, and re-scan.
How it works
- Upload your document as usual.
- Open the Fill & Sign tool in the preview.
- Draw your signature with your mouse, trackpad, or finger (on mobile). It's saved to your account so you only draw it once.
- Place it — drag the signature onto the exact spot on the page and resize as needed. You can place it on multiple pages.
- Send. The signature is flattened into the fax pages as part of the document.
Reusing your signature
Your saved signature is stored with your account and offered automatically the next time you use Fill & Sign. You can redraw it at any time.
Is a faxed signature legally valid?
Faxed signatures are broadly accepted for business and government paperwork, and have been for decades — that's a big part of why fax persists in legal and medical workflows. If a specific institution requires a "wet ink" original, they'll say so on the form; when in doubt, ask the recipient.

Yes — drawing with your finger on a touchscreen usually produces the most natural signature.
›Can I add text as well as a signature?
Fill & Sign is focused on signatures. For filling in text fields, edit the document first (or use the browser editor to write the fax), then sign.
›Is my signature stored securely?
It's stored privately in your account and used only when you place it on a document. Deleting your account deletes it too.
