Email to Fax: Send Faxes From Your Inbox

Updated July 24, 2026

Every paying SendFax.me account gets a private email-to-fax address. Email a document to it, put the fax number in the subject, and it's delivered as a fax — without opening the website at all.

Setup

  1. In your dashboard, open the email-to-fax section.
  2. Copy your private address — it looks like `fax-xxxxxxxx@sendfax.me` and is unique to your account.
  3. (Unlocked after your first top-up — the address is reserved for paying accounts to prevent abuse.)

Sending

  • To: your private fax address
  • Subject: the destination fax number in international format, e.g. `+12125550100`
  • Attachment: the PDF or image to fax

The pages are charged at the destination's normal per-page rate from your credit balance, and you get the usual delivery confirmation by email.

Why the address is private

The address contains a secret token, so only people who know it can send faxes on your credit. If it ever leaks (a forwarded email, a compromised mailbox), you can regenerate it from the dashboard — the old address stops working immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Why is email-to-fax locked on my account?

It unlocks after your first credit top-up. Restricting it to paying accounts keeps the relay from being abused by spammers.

Which email address can I send from?

Any mailbox — the security lives in your secret fax address, not in your sending address. Keep the address private like a password.

Can I send to multiple recipients at once?

One fax number per email. Send separate emails for separate destinations.

Ready to send a fax?

No fax machine, no subscription — your first fax is free.
