Refunds: Failed Faxes and Purchases

Updated July 24, 2026

Failed faxes: automatic refunds

If a fax cannot be delivered — busy line that never frees up, disconnected number, persistent errors — the full charge is refunded to your credit balance automatically. No support ticket needed; you'll see the refund in your transaction history and get an email notification.

The system retries transient failures on its own before declaring a fax failed, so a refund means delivery genuinely wasn't possible.

If your free welcome fax fails, the free-fax credit is returned the same way, so you can try again.

Scheduled faxes

Cancel a scheduled fax any time before it dispatches and the full charge returns to your balance instantly.

Credit purchases

Credit top-up purchases are final, per our refund policy — but since credit never expires and refunds for failures go back to your balance automatically, your money is never lost to a failed transmission.

Fax numbers

The $3.99 monthly number rental covers the month in progress. Cancel anytime to stop future renewals.

Frequently asked questions

My fax failed — do I need to contact support for a refund?

No. Failed faxes are refunded to your balance automatically, and the refund appears in your transaction history.

Can I get a card refund for unused credit?

Credit purchases are final per the refund policy, but the balance never expires, so it stays available for future faxes.

Was I charged for retries?

No — retries are part of one delivery attempt. You're charged once, and refunded in full if delivery ultimately fails.

Ready to send a fax?

No fax machine, no subscription — your first fax is free.
