What we collect
Your account details (name, email), the documents you fax, fax metadata (numbers, pages, status, cost), and your credit transactions. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
How we use it
Solely to run the service: transmitting your faxes over the telephone network (via our carrier), billing your prepaid balance, sending you transactional emails (receipts, delivery confirmations, inbound-fax forwards), and preventing abuse. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Document storage & retention
Fax documents are stored privately, encrypted in transit, and scoped to your account — only you (and no other user) can access them. Abandoned uploads are deleted after 3 days. Fax documents of accounts without a purchase history are deleted 3 days after sending; fax metadata (numbers, status, cost) is retained for your history and our bookkeeping.
Third parties we rely on
Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Telnyx (fax transmission), Resend (email delivery), Neon (database hosting), and Netlify (hosting). Each receives only the data required for its function.
Your rights
You can access your data in the dashboard at any time. To delete your account and its documents, or for any privacy question, contact info@sendfax.me and we'll act promptly.
